Beginning on the back nine, Wilkinson made a surge up the leaderboard with four consecutive birdies starting at the 11th. Each of those birdie putts was inside 10 feet.

Wilkinson's 64 equaled his career-low score on the Nationwide Tour, set during the first round of the Miccosukee Championship in 2004. He attributed this 64 to the ease he feels playing on the par-71 layout at Crestview Country Club's North Course.

"I'm happy with the start," Wilkinson said. "This course suits my eye off the tee. I just feel comfortable here."

Ayrshire, Scotland (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Loren Roberts birdied the first playoff hole Sunday to defeat Eduardo Romero and win the Senior British Open. Roberts struggled to a five-over 75 in the final round to end at six-under-par 274. Romero managed a one-over 71 to join Roberts in the playoff at the Ailsa Course at Westin Turnberry Resort.

Romero knocked his second shot to the back of the green, then watched Roberts drop his third shot within 20 feet. Romero's eagle effort stopped six feet from the cup.

Dick Mast carded the low round of the day with his three-under 67, moving him to five-under-par 275 for third place. He was one of four players to shoot in red figures in the final round.

Roberts and Romero dueled throughout the round. Roberts was in command at the outset, but Romero caught him on the 10th and that was when things really got interesting.

The 51-year-old Roberts opened with back-to-back pars and led by five as Romero bogeyed the second. Roberts tripped to a bogey on No. 3 and another at the fifth.

Huskers' Lucky hospitalized for undisclosed reason

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska running back Marlon Lucky was hospitalized Monday for undisclosed reasons after Lincoln police responded to a call at his residence.

The Nebraska athletic department said in a release Monday that Lucky was admitted Sunday night.

MySportsbook.com has the Cornhuskers listed at +2500 to win the BCS National Championship odds.

A nursing supervisor at the hospital said all questions about Lucky were being referred to the athletic department. The athletic department said there would be no further comment from the department or Lucky's family.

A Lincoln Police spokesman said officers responded to a call at Lucky's residence 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The spokesman said he didn't know Lucky's condition at the time he was taken to the hospital.

Lucky, from North Hollywood, Calif., started six games last season as a sophomore and was the team's second-leading rusher, with 728 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 383 yards. He averaged 19.1 yards on eight kickoff returns.
