06/17/2007 - Boston, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Boston Red Sox placed relief pitcher Brendan Donnelly on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 11, with a right forearm muscle strain.

The right-hander has made 27 relief appearances this season, posting a 2-1 record with a 3.05 ERA.

To replace Donnelly on the active roster, the Red Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Manny Delcarmen from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Delcarmen is 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA in 20 relief appearances with the PawSox this season. He has tossed 15.2 scoreless innings with 17 strikeouts in his last ten outings with Pawtucket. This will be Delcarmen's second stint with Boston in 2007.
